Volker Kuehn
Volker Kühn's miniature worlds show life in all its facets. He leaves almost no area out in terms of subject matter. He presents interpersonal relationships, the minor and major catastrophes of everyday life and word games in a witty and humorous way, just as he takes up and reinterprets the diversity in art.
Volker Kühn loves the clarity of form in Mondrian and Malevich, but also the action paintings of Jackson Pollock and the color temperament of Sam Francis. He appreciates the reduced objects of Brancusi and is fascinated by the blue of Yves Klein.
He creates small stages with great attention to detail. His inexhaustible wealth of ideas is fed by his sensitive powers of observation and his zest for life.
