Gerhard Hofmann, born in Germany in 1960, devotes himself entirely to bizarre scenery and plays an amusing game with the gravity of things.
He ignores the laws of statics with refreshing nonchalance and depicts flying and rotating objects.
In all of his color etchings, he combines graphic drawing with painterly accents with playful ease and gives cheerful interpretations of the cities, creatures and objects in his compositions. The artist has already received several awards for his original works, which always reveal his great talent for drawing and his excellent feeling for color effects.
